Faster Recovery, Better Results

Sports injuries need more than rest. Every injury has a root cause — a movement dysfunction, muscle imbalance or biomechanical pattern that created the vulnerability in the first place. Treating only the symptom means the same injury keeps coming back.

We combine chiropractic treatment, physiotherapy assessment, dry needling and structured rehabilitation to address both the injury and the underlying cause — so you return to sport stronger, not just recovered.

Sports Injury FAQs

For acute injuries, within 48–72 hours once the initial inflammation has begun to settle. Early assessment lets us accurately diagnose the injury, begin appropriate treatment and give you a clear rehab timeline. Delaying treatment often prolongs recovery.
In most cases, yes — though we'll advise modifications to your load, intensity and exercise selection based on your specific injury. Complete rest is rarely beneficial. Maintaining appropriate activity while protecting the injured structure speeds recovery and preserves fitness.
We treat muscle strains and tears, ligament sprains, tendinopathy, shoulder and rotator cuff injuries, IT band syndrome, runner's knee, shin splints, plantar fasciitis, lower back pain from sport, and more. If you're unsure, call us and we'll let you know.

The Three Phases of Sports Injury Rehabilitation

Returning to sport too quickly is the primary cause of re-injury. Returning too slowly costs you fitness, confidence and performance. A phase-based approach gives you a clinically grounded framework for progressing at exactly the right pace.

Phase 1

Acute (0–72 hours)

Control inflammation and protect the injured structure. PEACE & LOVE protocol. Accurate diagnosis — imaging referral where indicated. Pain management and load modification guidance.

Phase 2

Sub-Acute (3 days–6 weeks)

Restore range of motion, begin progressive loading and address contributing movement dysfunctions. Manual therapy, mobilisation, neurodynamics and early exercise rehabilitation.

Phase 3

Remodelling (6 weeks+)

Sport-specific strength and movement quality. Return-to-play testing. Injury prevention programme and load management strategy to reduce recurrence risk long-term.

Sports Injury Care for Active Londoners in EC1

The Old Street and Clerkenwell area has one of the highest concentrations of gyms, fitness studios and running clubs in London — from the CrossFit boxes near Silicon Roundabout to the run clubs that depart from Barbican station and the yoga studios lining Clerkenwell Road. We treat the athletes who train in and around EC1, and we understand the training demands, sport-specific injury patterns and mentality of people who cannot simply "rest for six weeks."

Our clinic at 193 Whitecross Street is a 5-minute walk from Barbican tube and 7 minutes from Old Street — which means you can be assessed the same day an injury happens, rather than waiting a week for a GP referral and another four weeks for an NHS physio appointment. For acute sports injuries, speed of diagnosis and early treatment significantly improves recovery trajectory.

We also work with local athletes on maintenance programmes — regular treatment (every 3–6 weeks) to identify and address emerging dysfunctions before they become injuries. Call 07903 579600 to book a sports injury assessment.
